Your audio never leaves your device

This is the whole point of Masterproof, so we'll be precise about it. When you drop a master into Masterproof, the analysis runs entirely inside your web browser using WebAssembly. Your audio file is never uploaded, never transmitted, and never stored — not on our servers, not with any third party, nowhere. It stays on your device the entire time and is discarded from memory when you close the tab.

What our servers receive are the resulting measurements (loudness, true peak, correlation, and the other report values) so we can show and email your report and count your monthly usage. We never receive the audio itself, and we never receive your file name beyond what you choose to display.

Analytics & advertising — where we draw the line

We use Plausible (privacy-friendly, cookie-light site analytics) and the Meta Pixel to understand traffic and measure ads. We want to be exact about what they see:

The Meta Pixel uses cookies. If you're in a region that requires it, you can block these with your browser or an extension without affecting the audio analysis, which never depended on them.

Your rights (including GDPR)

You have the right to access a copy of your data and the right to have your data deleted. If you're in the EU, UK, or another region with data-protection laws (GDPR and similar), these rights are guaranteed, and we'll action any request within 30 days.

To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email support@masterproof.app from the address on your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, stored report metrics, and entitlements. You can also unsubscribe from marketing email with one click in any message.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above. Material changes that affect how your data is handled will be communicated by email.
